Disruption was a total surprise for me and I loved every minute of it.Gr 8 Up-A fast-paced and frightening dystopian series opener. In the end I was left dying for book 2 because I need to know what is going to happen after everything that went down in the final 30 or so pages. It had so many moving pieces and the characters were so interesting I was sucked in from the start. I guess in the long run I loved that this book reminded me of some many of my other favorite stories. It all unfolded so perfectly that I didn’t even care that some was a little predictable. And even when I had an inkling on what I thought would happen I still wanted to read more just to know if I was right. I was on the end of my seat wondering what would happen to Maggie and Quentin. The truth is, this book is addictive and I think it is because of all those things. It could be the characters (Maggie and Quentin and Gus!!!), it could be the romance, it could be the plot, or it could be all 3 things. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what I loved about this book. Disruption was like The Program meets Free to Fall (Lauren Miller) meets Unleashed (Sophie Jordan) meets the love machine episode of Saved by the Bell and it was fantastic.

I was even more excited when I saw what the book was about and then even more excited when a friend told me that I would love it because I loved Suzanne Young’s The Program series. I really enjoyed it so I was excited when I saw her name as the author Disruption. I had read a Jessica Shirvington book, Between the Lines/One Past Midnight, about 2 years ago on the suggestion of a friend that knows I love a good parallel life book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
